Selia Powell is well on her way to becoming a top model. Selia is a young 14yr old from Brooklyn, NY. At her age she is already 5'11 and she is a pro at workin the runway!! She has done shows for Africa Fashion Week in NYC 2010,  and worked with Andre Leon Talley stylist for designer Laura Smalls in Mercedes Benz NY Fashion Week s/s 2010. She has also done shows for designers such as Shekhar Rahate and Courtney Washington. Next weekend Selia will be workin the runway at Baltimore Fashion Week through August 18 -22, 2010. She will be walking for the Alexandre McQueen and Valentino Salute and for designer Carl Trogdon. He will be showcasing his new collection called Risimnic Couture. The producer of Baltimore Fashion Week "Sharan Joyner Nixon" who has been producing BFW for 3yrs now and is excited to have Selia be apart of BFW of 2010.

Africa Fashion Week

July 15th and 16th was the first Africa Fashion week in NYC. Designers from all over Africa, America and the Caribbean had an opportunity to show their collections. I had an opportunity to be a volunteer!! It was a great experience and I am excited for next year! The person in charge of the production of Africa Fashion Week is Adiat Disu. Denim Jacket

Hello, everyone this is a denim jacket I designed and made for a friend. She really liked how it came out so I am very happy she liked it. My favorite part are the sleeves and the rosettes. It is always a challenge making things for people, but it is a great feeling when you can make someone happy with your talent and creativity. :) Tell me what you think!

So two weeks ago me and my friend kareena went to a Forever 21 event, where they had a preview of their new swimwear, athletic, dress collections. While at the event we had an opportunity to meat some cool people including Richie Rich from Heatherette. Here are a few images from Forever 21's fashion show. New Collection!!!

Hello everyone. This is my first sample for my new summer collection. I am in love with it. Its a pale pink cotton jersey with beading on the sleeve. I am not done with the beading yet, as you can see I am still working on it. I want to add more beads hanging from the sleeve. I will add more pics once the dress is fully complete. The design is very simple with one kimono sleeve, I wanted the design to be simple being that there was a lot of detail going on to the shoulder, So the design could not be too crazy. Plus I wanted the garment to be wearable and not just for show. Let me know what you think, feel free to leave comments.
